Collator is built by R41. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. We've kept them as short and plain as we can.
Collator is an organisational tool. It helps you record, structure and locate information about your documents, assets, policies, people and succession plans, all stored locally on your device.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Collator on your own devices for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the source code of the app, except where the law gives you the right to do so, and not to resell, sublicense or redistribute the app.
You retain full ownership of everything you enter into Collator. It's stored locally on your device, and in your personal iCloud or Google account if you enable backups. We have no access to it, no copy of it, and make no claim over it.
Collator is built to work without us. Because everything is stored locally on your device, the app continues to function fully even if R41 stops operating, stops updating Collator, or this website disappears. Your vault doesn't depend on our servers, because we don't have any.
Collator offers a free trial. After the trial, adding new records requires a one-time lifetime purchase, processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Viewing, editing, importing and exporting your existing data remain free, always, with no subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies; we don't process payments directly and have no access to your payment details.
Collator helps you organise information, it doesn't provide legal, financial, tax or estate-planning advice, and it doesn't verify the legal validity, accuracy or enforceability of any document, nomination, will or record you store. For decisions about wills, nominations, succession or any legal or financial matter, please consult a qualified professional, such as a lawyer, chartered accountant or financial advisor.
Your data lives on your device. We strongly recommend enabling your device's own backup system, iCloud for iPhone or Google account backup for Android, so your vault survives a lost, stolen or replaced phone. Collator cannot recover data that hasn't been backed up by you.
Collator is provided "as is". We do our best to make it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. We're not liable for loss of data due to device damage, loss, theft or factory reset, for the consequences of relying on information stored in the app for legal or financial decisions, or for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Collator.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Collator, as it's designed for managing personal, financial and legal records.
You can stop using Collator at any time by deleting the app from your device. We may update, change or discontinue features, but anything already stored on your device remains yours and accessible to you, as described above.
If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Collator after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
